About Berserkaru, and what I do.

Where to start.... Well, since the beginning of time (1987) Ive had an interest in cars. from my early birthday cakes, to cardboard boxes, to playing matchbox cars in the dirt, up to slotcars, Remote Controls, Nitro-Methanol RC to the 'Real Thing', I have always liked cars, especially V8's. I dont know why, maybe its the sound?. So my whole life ive been looking at, listening to and learning about cars. My favorite is the Dodge Viper V10. Ive wanted to be a V8 Supercar driver since i can remember, after seeing Brocky and Skaife on TV and driving Brocks 05 Commy around the Skyline on the slotcar track. Then I got a Licence!!! and i thought i was made. Just a few days practice and ill be on the top of the podium in no time. So not having a car of my own, I learned alot of my driving in Mums 2001 1.8L Lancer Auto, and since i didnt like attracting 'attention' and risk being pulled over I did alot of driving on the dirt roads around Yeppoon and Byfeild. Mum was getting a little tired of having no car all the time, and with a job offer in Rockhampton, i needed my OWN car. My friend had a Datsun 200B 4sp manual he was selling, so for the princely sum of $700 I had my Brand New, 26yo, Datto. What a weapon, 3rd gear chirps, wet weather drifts. For a first car, Datsuns are the go. Illd always laughed at people driving dattos, asking why would you bother, but I was in for a lesson. First day out i took her up to the dirt roads north of yeppoon and gave it thorough fishtail session, 45mins later, me and my car were getting to know each other. and since that day, she was never the same. I drove it 30mins eachway to work daily, and spent every other moment (and cent) sliding around in the wetlands. After a while mates were commenting saying things like "You're really good at this" and "You should do rally driving". I had no idea what Rally driving was, and when i found out, I was Sold! This is what i want to do. Stuff Supercars, i want to be a Rally Driver!!! I thought i was not good atall, (still dont) So i kept practicing, going for Faster, Longer, Higher, Wider. Pushing the limits of my skill, and my car, until the inevitable would happen and I'lld 'clip' something, trees, rocks culverts, creeks. After a while of this my car was looking a little worse for wear, and was beyond a Roadworthy certificate, and started to attract 'attention'. After a few defect notices I'lld had enough, and wanted something better to drive. Then a friend took me for a drive to 5rocks in his strange little ute. A 1989, stock standard, SUBARU BRUMBY. Although having lived most of its life rusting at Stanage Bay and Byfeild, and being unregistered for over 10 years, it went Superb! After letting neally all the air from the tyres, and selecting Lo-Range, it was unstoppable! As we tore around the dunes, throwing roostertails everywhere, hammering straight past the 'proper' 4WD's yelling "Get a Lo-Lux!" something clicked in my brain and i knew i had to get a BRUMBY. So I started searching around for one, and found they also make brumby wagons. This made more sense to me as i could take friends, move stuff and sleep in the back. So I found a 1988 SUBARU L SERIES TOURING WAGON. 1.8L EA82, 5speed D/R, Webber Carby, 2inch lift, Kings springs, towbar, all for $2800.
